It refers to the sole or collective activities of corporate sector any where in the world by sponsoring socio-economic and human development programs as part of their business ethics not as a matter of mandatory official compulsion.

This will certainly accelerate the pace of economic boost up in a society and will help to reduce the gap between the corporate sector and the civil society.
